Are you interested in the digital marketing space? Many of you have inquired about low to no cost (FREE!) events in the Toronto or Greater Toronto Area (GTA) that focus on digital marketing, marketing, advertising, communications, or public relations.
After doing some research, here is my list of digital marketing events in Toronto for the first half of 2015:
Ryerson University is hosting Canada’s largest un-conference for digital professionals and innovators that would like to share their experiences and network.
When: Saturday, February 21 to Sunday, February 22, 2015
Where: Rogers Communications Centre, Ryerson University, 80 Gould Street, Toronto (between Church and Jarvis/Dundas and Gerrard)
Cost: $0 (Free!)

Dx3 – Digital Marketing, Advertising & Retail Conference
Touted as Canada’s largest conference and trade show for digital marketing, advertising and retail (hence the Dx3), this two-day event is a great opportunity for networking and learning more about trends in this space.
When: Wednesday, March 11 to Thursday, 12, 2015
Where: Metro Toronto Convention Centre, North Building – Level 300, Exhibit Hall A, 255 Front Street West, Toronto
Cost: $0 (Free, if you register before February 22)

NXNE – Music + Culture + Tech
A smaller version of the SXSW festival in Austen, TX, allows digital professionals to network and gain valuable insight into progressive ideas with workshops, keynote addresses, and more. While not free, this is a much more affordable conference than the SXSW conference by attending the NXNE Interactive sessions.
When: June 17 to 21, 2015
Cost: Not yet announced

There are many great events that happen in Toronto or around the GTA that can help you build your networking base and digital marketing skills. A few more to keep in mind include: Startup Weekend ((usually happens a few times a year) and WordCamp (typically happens in November). Also, don’t forget that you can attend smaller events in your local area by visiting Meetup.com.
